Welcome to
That Day in May (TDIM) 50th Anniversary
Coming soon!
The Rotary Club of Oakwood, host to That Day in May (TDIM) is gearing up for a very special day in 2025 to mark a milestone: TDIM turns 50 on May 17, 2025! This extra-special community celebration will feature everything you look forward and love about TDIM including a full day’s worth of events on Saturday, May 17, 2025. We'll follow up Saturday's festivities with our fifth annual Golf Outing on Monday, May 19th at the beautiful Dayton Country Club course followed by our first-ever Dinner Buffet and Live Auction!

We'll meet you and your friends and families on Saturday bright and early at the Oakwood High School to kick off the day with the Pancake Breakfast, run events including a fun run, 5K and 10K (there will be special medals and tee-shirts to commemorate the 50th along with a new fast-and-flat course set up by Oakwood's own Speedy Feet), the community Parade down Shafor Boulevard, games and bouncy houses inside the High School in The Pit, the Car Show, The Best Dog Show Ever! in Mack Hummon Stadium and so many food trucks you'll have a hard time choosing a favorite!

2025 will welcome the first annual Alumni Baseball Game at the High School baseball field to benefit The Dugout Club's fundraising efforts to make the baseball field one of the area's best. Plans include new stands, concessions, a press box and much more. The game starts at 4:00 PM; interested players can contact Aileen Hand at 937-241-0214 or email her at abahand@yahoo.com.

Proceeds from TDIM support our Oakwood Rotary Foundation. Since 1988, the Oakwood Rotary Foundation has given nearly $800,000 to local nonprofits and charitable organizations serving the needy in the Miami Valley. Our Foundation also supports many charitable groups, school events, and community projects throughout the year. Your support of That Day in May will help the Rotary Club of Oakwood's fund Oakwood Foundation's grant awards program.
